On January 19, 2024, the 2nd International Course of Advanced IOL Power Calculation, organized by globally renowned expert Professor Giacomo Savini, concluded in Bologna, Italy. The Colombo IOL II made its successful debut for the first time at this conference.

Professor Giacomo Savini highlighted the groundbreaking technological features of Colombo IOL II, foreseeing expanded applications, particularly with OCT fundus and choroidal images.

This conference is hosted by the IOL Power Club (IPC), a global non-profit organization committed to advancing intraocular lens power selection algorithms and technology.

As a core member of IPC and the organizer of the conference, Professor Giacomo Savini has made significant contributions to ophthalmology and visual science. He has authored more than 200 papers on peer-reviewed journals and presented more than 250 papers at national and international meetings. He is also one of the authors of the Hoffer QST formula and the Naeser/Savini toric calculator.
